An Austin Chapter Original: Wii Bowling Tournament

The Austin CPA Chapter’s First Wii Bowling Tournament was held on Wednesday, May 27. Pizza was served and some members even practiced before putting on the Wiimotes and it was a lot of the fun creating the Miis. Now if you don’t understand the lingo, you’ll definitely have to attend the next event!

The first team to play consisted of Corina Dominguez, Graham Featherston, Gail Neely and Julie Dale. Jesse Dominguez, Arin Bernshausen, David Featherston and Kristen Smith made up the second team. The top four scorers went on to the tournament round: Jesse, Arin, Gail and David. From this round, Jesse and Arin tied by bowling a 169 so they battled it out in a speed round. Jesse came out the ultimate winner and walked away with a Godiva gift card, which his daughter promptly stole from him.

It was agreed that the Austin CPA Chapter needs to issue a challenge to the rest of the CPA Chapters perhaps for a Fall event. We’ll have to look at that more closely.
