The Austin CPA Chapter Scholarship Fundraising Committee is proud to announce their latest endeavor. For one $50 ticket, your name will be entered into a raffle drawing with the grand prize of $5,000 towards the trip of your dreams. No more than 1,000 tickets will be sold so your chances of winning are much higher than ever winning the lottery.

The lucky winner’s name will be drawn at the Austin CPA Chapter Awards Lunch on May 22, 2008. That winner will then work with Strong Travel Agency to book his/her dream vacation of up to $5,000. All proceeds from raffle sales will benefit the Austin CPA Chapter CPE Foundation Scholarship.

Remember to purchase your ticket the next time you’re in the Chapter office or at an event because this is something you do not want to miss out on. Please call the Chapter office at (512) 445-0044 to purchase raffle tickets over the phone with a credit card. We will mail your ticket stub and receipt to you.

Raffle Rules

The purchase price of raffle tickets is $50.00 each.
All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Austin Chapter TSCPA CPE Foundation Scholarship Fund.
Tickets are currently available for purchase at the Austin CPA Chapter offices, through certain Chapter members and at Chapter events. You may purchase tickets through the Awards Lunch on May 22, 2008.
You must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets.
The name of the winner will be made available to the media as requested, and will be displayed on Austin CPA Chapter web site: http://austin.tscpa.org/.
If after reasonable effort the Austin CPA Chapter is unable to locate the winner for the trip within 30 days of the actual drawing date, an additional raffle ticket will be drawn to determine the new winner.
Only 1,000 tickets will be available for this raffle. The raffle will be closed at the Chapter Awards Lunch on May 22, 2008 or when 1,000 tickets are sold, and all monies and ticket stubs are in the possession of the Austin CPA Chapter, whichever comes first.
In the event 1,000 tickets are sold, each raffle ticket has a 1-in-1,000 chance of being drawn.
The winner will be determined by a random drawing. The drawing date will be at the Awards Lunch on May 22, 2008.
The winner will assume and be responsible for any local, state or federal taxes on the prize. A 1099 will be issued to the winner for the 2008 fiscal tax year.
