Tony Ross accepted a proclamation for “National
Save for Retirement Week” (October 22 through October
28) at the Austin City Council Chambers from Council person
Betty Dunkerley.
In addition to being employed at Austin Energy,
the municipally owned electric utility, Tony serves as trustee
for both the City of Austin’s Employee Retirement System
($1.5 Billion in assets) and the City of Austin’s Deferred
Compensation Plan ($180 Million in assets).
Tony is TSCPA Secretary on the Executive Board
and, lest we forget, is on the Oversight
Council right here at the Austin Chapter.
Professionally, he is active in the local area
with the Institute of Internal Auditors, in the National Association
of Black Accountants, and in teaching accounting and business
course in area colleges. |
