| In the late afternoon/early
evening of September 25, 2006, the Austin CPA Chapter hosted
a networking event for student and candidate members. We also
invited non-student members from area schools to find out what
TSCPA and the Austin Chapter is all about. We had almost 50
students and candidates join us at Dave
& Busters, and half of them joined the Chapter that
day!
Plenty of food was served and CPA volunteers
helped staff informational booths, which included Community
Involvement, Scholarship/Membership, Career Center/Advisor,
Toastmasters and Becker
Review. Jerry
Love, CPA, TSCPA Chairman, gave a great presentation on
why it’s important to finish your education and get that
CPA license. The Chapter gave away Dave & Busters Power
Cards and Starbucks gift cards as door prizes, and Becker had
a set of their coveted flash cards as a prize.
It’s not too late to take advantage of
