| The room was packed
with 82 attendees as the Austin CPA Chapter held its first Membership
Meeting of the 2006-07 year. The luncheon was held at the popular
Chez Zee American Bistro,
a favorite amongst our members. Jerry
Love, CPA, Chairman of TSCPA and John Sharbaugh, CEO of
TSCPA, gave updates on the state of the profession in Texas
and the nation.
Gary McIntosh, Austin CPA Chapter Public Affairs
chair, talked to attendees about the
Chapter’s PAC goals and the critical importance of
contributing to the CPA-PAC. Members were asked to contribute,
and $490 was collected. Through the generosity of 3 Chapter
members who created a matching fund
program, that amount will be doubled.
A decadent chocolate dessert was sponsored by
Accountability Resources.
