Leadership Development Program

The Austin CPA Chapter has 11 new graduates from its Leadership Development Program. Participants were treated to a graduation dinner at North by Northwest on the evening of January 25, 2007.

Graduates include:

• Julie Dale – Lockart Atchley & Associates

• Elaine Hanks – Elaine L. Hanks CPA
• Michele Heyman – Lockart Atchley & Associates
• Olga Maldonado – SAMCO Capital Markets Inc.
• Rusty Morrison – Shelton, Van Houten, Morrison CPAs
• John Orton – IBM Texas Employees Federal Credit Union
• Jeff Peek – Lockart Atchley & Associates

Participants attended five 4-hour program sessions covering everything from the operations of AICPA, TSCPA and the Austin CPA Chapter to business etiquette and managing their career. In addition, participants are required to earn at least 75 points by attending these sessions and participating in other Chapter events.

Task Force members responsible for developing this year’s program include Nancy Foss, Jan Keeling, Penny Dear and Guy Draper.
