| The first Austin CPA Chapter membership meeting was held September 29th at South Austin’s famous Matt’s El Rancho. We were privileged to have Larry Edgerton, Chairman of the TSCPA, speak on the current state of the accounting profession. His presentation covered legislative as well as regulatory updates and local and national issues that are on the horizon for accounting professionals and how the TSCPA and chapters are addressing those issues.
Sixty-five attendees enjoyed an all-you-can-eat fajita buffet with flan, sopapillas and pralines for dessert. Our next membership meeting will be the Holiday Luncheon at Chez Zee on December 6. See you there!
