On Saturday, April 8, several CPAs came out with their pet pooches
for the Mighty Texas Dog Walk. This annual event benefits Texas
Hearing & Service Dogs, which adopts dogs from animal
shelters and trains them as working partners for Texans living
with disabilities. According to their website, this year’s
event was the most successful to date! They had 1,850 dogs cross
the finish line after walking the 5K and raised approximately
$80,000!
Special
thanks go to those CPAs who brought out their dogs for this
fun event: Tamara Cash, David Phillips and Cindy Gilmer.
Check
out the puppy photos on THSD’s website.

David
Phillips, CPA and his dog, Prince, completed the 5K walk. Both
man and dog are proud of that CPAs Count! shirt. |

Abe,
on the left, and Annie, on the right, belong to Tamara Cash,
CPA and her husband Bob. Aren’t they cute? This was Annie’s
first year for the walk, but Abe is a pro! |

This
is the second year that Daisy Tanwar, the white dog, has walked.
Duncan Tanwar has done the walk every year since he was born.
We hope to continue this tradition since it’s so much
fun! |
