The CPAs were ahead of the lawyers and doctors
in the Fourth Annual Professionals Pump-a-Pint Blood Drive Challenge
at press time. The Austin CPA Chapter, the Austin Bar Association
and the Travis County Medical Society competed against one another
to recruit the highest percentage of memberships to give blood.
This competition continued through the entire month of June,
but our true goal is for people continue to give throughout
the year. Please contact the Blood
and Tissue Center of Central Texas to make an appointment
to donate blood (206-1266).
The kickoff to the event was on June 1, 2005.

Carol is about to knock the doctor and lawyer out of the
ring! She has continually given blood since the challenge
started over three years ago.

A special thank you goes out to Glenn Lewis,
CPA, of Maxwell, Locke &
Ritter. He organized a drive at their firm downtown on June
21st and it was a huge success!
