Several
Austin CPA Chapter members made their way to the Texas Society

This year’s meeting was held at the Cheyenne

the Concerned CPA Network.

to TSCPA

First things first…The Chapter Challenge Golf Tournament!
This tournament helped raise funds for TSCPA's
Accounting Education Foundation. So the Chapter didn’t
place – we blame it on the elevation. |

Both Jean Lein (left) and Tim LaFrey (right) received prestigious
awards for their service to TSCPA.
Larry Edgerton (center), 2005-06 TSCPA Chairman, presented these
awards to them. |

Did you know that TSCPA Web master Tony Vela actually offices
with us at the Chapter? True story. He helped in Colorado Springs,
too. |

Terry Newman, Joyce Smith and Nancy Foss go over details at
a roundtable discussion during the meeting. |

There is always a huge dinner for all attendees at the meeting.
Seated here you will find Mara
and Ira Lipstet, Joyce and Rick Smith and Diane Joiner, Austin
Chapter Executive Director. |

Since the Chapter had so many members representing it, we had
to take up two tables! Seated from left to right are Diana Sullivan,
Bette Williams, Penny Dear, Nancy Foss, Tim LaFrey, Donna Wesling,
John and Carla Pearce. |

When the meeting adjourned, it was time to do some sight-seeing.
After traveling an hour and a half via the cog railway up a mountain,
Diane Joiner and Nancy Foss finally made it to Pike’s Peak.
CPAs may be able to count, but they can’t remember their
T-shirts! |

Diane and Nancy also went to the Royal Gorge where they walked
across the world’s highest suspension bridge – over
1,000 feet above the Arkansas River. It doesn’t look too
scary in this picture, but it can give some folks a case of
vertigo. |
