New class will form in the Fall of 2008 (not in this fiscal year). However, it has been suggested that we have a get-together for past graduates, possibly offering a leadership-type CPE and networking. We want to keep the graduates involved.

Continue to offer and increase opportunities. Continue to send invitations to new members and new Swear-Ins inviting them to the next networking event. Offer family-oriented events like a picnic.
Increase participation at state and national level: Set up nominating committee to submit potential members for TSCPA and AICPA committees.

Continue to nominate Austin Chapter members for positions on TSCPA and AICPA committees/task forces. Compile information on available positions, what the time and cost commitment would be and ask for volunteers. Ask current volunteers to write articles about their experiences serving on committees. Invite AICPA rep to speak at joint EB/OC meeting in June so members have a better understanding of the time commitment and opportunities available with AICPA committees.

Packet is being updated as new benefits are secured. Need calling committee to personally call new members every month. Try to hold a new member reception quarterly, maybe combined with another networking event. Email from president welcoming members and inviting them to next networking event. Profile a new member in each issue of the newsletter. Invite new members to attend the next all-member meeting for free - recognize them and give them their membership certificate at the meeting.
Plan and implement member recruitment program: recruit volunteers for TSCPA program; letter to previous members detailing advantages of joining; identify and contact inactive members; assign task force and spotlight members in newsletters

Organize a call night and invite prospective members to our next networking event; mail letters to former/potential members when contact information is provided. Chapter president to send emails to all non-renewing members to ascertain why they didn't renew their membership; participate in TSCPA's membership program for fall. Have 'testimonials' written by members to include in Chapter newsletter in the Spring when dues renewal notices are sent. Goal is to recruit 50 new members in the 2006-07 year (3% increase). Send Thank You's to employers. Visit 10 local firms and give 15 minute presentation re: TSCPA membership and benefits.

Offer incentive to small firms to join the referral service; collect statistics on number of referral calls & clients received

Career Awareness: follow up on TSCPA ACE mailing; coordinate CPA presentations and maximize presence in schools.

Need volunteers to enhance current program. Offer a business-student mentoring program. Continue to offer speakers at student groups on campus in conjunction with presentations about the Chapter's scholarship offerings. Ask students to write newsletter articles.
